Want to use 89 bin on 88 350. Which ECU?

Hello,

I have an (see below) and want to disable the Cold start injector as well as up the FI constants. Just got all the tools to dink around with these new EEPROMS and want to know where to start.

I've heard the 89 bin is a good place. Is this sooo? and if it is....which of the ECU's would be the one to use.

I have the 12277165 ECM.

3.27 gears, 350 700r4 combo with a superram and the other things listed below.

Thanks in advance for your wisdom..

regards,

Marty

Marty,

Remember the cold start injector is not controlled by the ecu. It is dissabled by removing a fuse from the fuse panel under the steering wheel. Sorry I cant remember which one.

If you want to up the FI constants you must have fitted larger injectors, increased fuel pressure or are running too rich as less fuel is injected.

Winbin an ARAP bin file and a 6E ecu definition file is how I started.

My car seemed quite a bit faster with the ARAP code watch out for pinking as the timing is very advanced.

The cold start injector can also be disabled by just pulling the connector off the injector

I have no cold start injector. The accel base had no provision for it so I just ommited it. But I would still like the car to start easily when it gets colder so I want to use the 89 bin, which I believe uses another method to provide extra fuel on startup.

Thanks for your replies

Use the ARAP bin, its what everyone uses for a MAF automatic car.
