Closed throttle richness and P/N idle
Have 2 things currently happening that are beginning to frustrate me:
#1.
Having gotten my cruise blm's (least until 60 mph) into the very high teens and mostly 120's, i have found one thing which i cannot seem to resolve. Whenever i let off the throttle the car always goes rich , its enuff to smell it and confirm by looking at the blm at that time which drop down to the 108-112 range, whenever the throttle is closed .
Using any throttle whatsoever to maintain the speed and i am getting high teen and 120's blm readings but either barely touch the throttle or completely backout its rich almost instantly.....
getting confused on this one...
#2.
This does seem to relate to #1 but i cannot yet quite identify what i am missing between the two.....
My idle in closed loop in gear when warm settles down into the 124-132 region for blm's. But if i let it idle warm in closed loop in P the blm's then tend to drop down to around 112-114.....once i go back into gear it will once again climb although very slowly back inot the 124-132 range
My open loop idle does yet leave something to be desired and i have been making revisions as time allows (restricted to snap on scanner for scan tool) so its not like i can use my diacom and datalog runs and sort thru it (although dying for new laptop to get here #3 lol)
So if anyone can shed some lite on either of these topics or direct me to a post that i may have missed on my searches please let me know :-)
thanks

well i would check the O2 sensor out to make sure its reporting accurate info. second on my list would be the FPR. the third thing i would look at as a last resort is a wacked out ECM. also check the wiring for any sort of fualts or short that could be pissing things off. im assuming this thing uses a 122148 ecm ?? with the $31T code ?? maybe you have a goofy maf sensor throwing out bad info. some detials would be nice.also do you have a copy of your bin file ?? amial it to me. mayeb you just have a spoofed peice of code ?? i dunno

check the vacum line to the MAP sensor.if its ok try replacing the MAp sensor. sounds like a rowdy cam hows the idle vacum ???dues it flucuate alot ?? if so put a small vacum canister inlne to the map sensor. it should flatten things out a bit helping you tune it better. that cam has a tigh LDA doenst it like 110. could be some reversion going on in there.try the vacum canister if the map checks out ok and the vacum line is good as well. make sure the vacum line isnt collapsing.i would check these things first before digging any fursther also is the car equiped with headers ?? could be shedding some O2 heat ?
