PROM installation problem

Here is the deal. I read the TSB regarding the bugged PROM in the 86 Trans ams. So I went to Pontiac and ordered a new one. I just installed it and took it for a test drive and now my fan won't come on. I know the problem is not in my fan because it was working just before the PROM was installed. Is there any reason why would not go on now?

BTW. my fan is grounded to the frame, so it should be on all of the time.

oh and I think the original owner may have grounded it to the frame because maybe something in the PROM was bad?
If so, how can I check and would I be able to rewire it back to stock so it turns on when the engine gets hot?
