730 conversion Question

Ok I just finshed the 730 conversion but I got one thing left, the knock sensor. I going to replace the 165 knock sensor with the 730 and reuse the existing Knock sensor wiring. On Davis's websight he says to jumper pins "C" and "E" on the ESC harness plug, my question is where is this ESC harness plug?

BTW where do you 730 guys mount your computer?

ESC connector is on the ESC module, located on the small bracket w/ the fuel pump and MAF relays on the firewall driver's side.

Thanks Kevin I found it now, but I got one more question for ya, do I just leave the thing unpluged or should I plug it back in with the C & D pins out of her?

Remove it, along with those annoying MAF relays.

Exactly, I just finished this swap a few days ago. I did what John said, removed the ESC module (and the MAF relays of course) as well as as much of the wiring as I could. I just chopped the excess wiring harness out of the main harness leaving enough of the wires of the C and E terminal wires to jumper them and push them into the loom and get the direct feed knock sensor circuit needed for the 730. No problems at all with the system since the swap and it really cleans up the look under the hood to get rid of all of the unused wiring.

Just to clarify things a little more

I'm still in the process of doing the conversion and had the same question as Tony. I searched and found this article, and then still wonder which module/relay was it, because there are 4 several mysterious black boxes in that same area. I found that the ESC module is located behind the 3 relays on the bracket. It is shaped more square and flat than the relays. There was a big white part mumber on the front... can't remember what it was, but it has the white knock sensor wire, and the black knock sensor wire from the ecm.

I just mounted the ECM in the same position and just taped it to the plastic frame which then mounts onto the car.
