Guys,
i am gonna be putting together a 406 that will need a tad bit of race fuel to run without detonation. The combo will be around 12.5:1 compression.
Just curious to how the sensor will hold up with the race fuel? Its the type the honda cars run. From what my buddy tells me about the gas he runs, it contains lead.
What do you all think?

You will see a reduced lifespan due to lead contamination, but it won't be anything instantaneous. I think I remember seeing something like max life of 40-50k but that would be normal driving I am guessing.
I talked with a GN guy that says that they usually replace their WBO2 every year. He said that they typically run 4 Months or so out of the year.
There are 100 - 102 Ocatane Unleaded gasses that you can run. If you are carefull with the motor selection before building that might be enough to keep it out of detonation. some things to consider are smoothing the combustion chambers in the heads, Aluminum heads, coated piston tops & some overlap on the cam to bleed off cyl pressure a little. it is a bit more difficult to tune but worth it.

The reason the compression is gonna be high is we are trying to match another setup that is running VERY well. Just missed 10's this past weekend. That is a MAF 406 that is still running the stock converter and 3.07 gears. The dude can build an engine. He was just concerned about the lead and the WB. Guess we will see how bad it gets. I will only need it while tuning then it can go. If I need to I will pull it out and replace it I guess.

Or just turn it off. What ECM are you using? Is this going to be a drag car or street driven? If street driven, maybe swap out the O2 sensor when you fill it up with the good stuff & put it into open loop & run it off of the "map" when you are @ the track & put it back in when you have the "low test" in it.

just turn off a WB with leaded fuel unless you do want to instantly turn it into junk.
