burning chips 101 for dummies

What else do I need besides the winaldl software, laptop, and interface cable to burn my own chip? I have no idea what my car, with the 383 and holley tbi, is supposed to be tuned at. Is there some sort of software, that I can type in all the data, and compare it to what a 383 is supposed to be tuned to? I don't have a clue. I want to burn my own chips but I need some help from you guys. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Danny

From the main page of this forum-go to tech articles and then look under electrical section and then open "programming proms for ......" and start reading.....
If you already have the basics of tuning a carb veh. you'll get it pretty easily.
