Programming (Newbie)

Hey there ~~~I have been playing with TunerCat and the bin for my 870 ECM. (I know....the 870 blows..but it is what I have money/time for right now)

Anyways, I am looking to adjust for the larger engine (305-->350 swap),larger injectors (22#--->24#) and added fuel pressure. The engine also has a *mild* cam. I am still a little confused when it comes to load factors vs maf etc.

Therefore, is there software out there that I can input my general engine setup...ie compression ratio, ignition system, maf or map,cam duration, etc and get a good fuel curve setup along with timing advance curves? I have finally got the car running smoothly...and now would like to start tweaking to pull the rest of the hp outta it. Thanks much....

Right now, using a stock 1985 bin file for a Vette with 22#injectors and a 700r4

Nope,
that's what called tuning, and every drivetrain combination is different.

In '85, the Vette had 24 lb/hr injectors.

In 86, they went to a lower rating.

Of course, this is with GM ratings, and if your 24's are FMS injectors, well then they aren't the same rating as the GM ones regardless of the year. Just wanted to let you know you might be closer than your think.

It's been a while since I used the 870 on my 85, but keep in mind that most Vette's with a 700R4 from that year had a rear gear in the mid-two's. Not sure what the gearing is on your car...
