Personally, I see no real need for Closed Loop.
Of course we're talking for off road use, and no cat..
If you want you might get a chip that runs well, and use that to learn in the ecm. Then work on a chip with the Closed Loop enable set to 304. Then as long as you don't clear the ecm you can run Open Loop with all the corrections, and not worry about fighting Closed Loop corrections.

Using a WB, and running full time Open Loop is the easy answer for tuning.

i know but it seems that it would be harder to track your data points that way being that scanware does not display wb data.

Speaking of which my wb two days ago would not work,it just kept toggling between 14.7-10.5 flashing back and forth??
Know what might cause that?

would that basically yield me the same results as locking BLM and give no influence on PE?
Lately Ive been trying to tune with pulse width and WB .

Thanks for help grumpy.

Actually it can be adapted to feedback info thru the aldl output if you add the info to the correct location in the aldl data feed. See this thread.

As far as the intermittant readout, make sure all the soldered connections are good, and check for any loose connections. BW
