probably simple question...

i programmed a chip (actually just tried to copy the stock one) and put it in the adapter with the stock memcal plugged in to it. the question is....why does the fan come on when you turn the key to 'on' and, it idles at about 1500 rpms.....what am i doing wrong? are you supposed to leave the stock chip in the memcal when you plug it in to the adapter?

Sounds like your computer isn't reading the chip properly and is running off of the limp home chips. Is your check engine light on when it is running? Check to see it burned properly and the orientation of the chip is correct.
