I am new to this , so please be kind. I am looking for the options menu to use the last 16 on the the chip. I just got the pp2 and I am using win Xp . Does it setup it up by itself? Also I purchased Tunercat with ecm_32b . Now when I programmed a chip , I guess sucessfully , I cant read it. Tunercat says I need ecm_32. I am sure this is because of the 32bit? What can I do? Do I need both programs? I would hate to waste $20. I have done some message board browsing and kind seem to find these answers. Thanks to all.

 

You need to start programming at 4000, just set the start address to 4000 on the bottom right of the PP2 screen. I did the same thing my first time.

 

If using a flash prom to burn - set start of devive to 04000 as mentioned above..
But while trying to read the same prom you must select 27c128 as your prom to read,even though you are useing a at29c256
or else tuner will not recognize.

 

so then I will need the other program from tunercat?

 

No you already have tunercat ... You are just fine.
To read a chip you burned,you must read it as a 16 bit at27c128
