EGR disable problems

I have searced in the archives but have not found the answer that I can understand. I have read that setting the EGR enable temp to 255 keeps it off. Now my snag, in Tunercat I cannot find anything that resembles an enable temp category anywhere in the Tables. All I see is 1. EGR spark advance vs % EGR
2. %EGR vs load vs RPM
3. EGR correction vs load vs EGR duty cycle
Are any of these the right category and if yes which one, and what is the right way to fill in the blanks? If I'm not in the right neighborhood could someone tell me where to find it. Thanks

I guess I should have given a little more info so someone could be helpful. It's a 7747 and ecm 42 with Tunercat.

I did this in tunner cat. I set the speed for egr "on" to 255mph. Others said it would be better to set the temp to a higher temp, but like you, I didn't have that option. It has worked just fine this way(I have yet to hit 255 mph so it hasn't been enabled since I changed it)

Are you kidding?!? Tuner Cat doesn't have the EGR enable temp...what a crock.

Download WinBin for free.

Then go here and get my ECU file.

Joker, I don't see anything relating EGR and MPH, maybe I am using a different Tunercat file or I'm just not finding it. Can you point me in a different direction.
V8 Astro Captain, I tried to down load your file but could not get it to open. I will try again tomorrow when I get a little more time. Thanks for the help.
There has got to be a way to get this done.

The constant you should be looking for is "Min MAT to enable EGR". It is in Tunercat. But I am talking about the $32B and $6E cal files. Not sure about any other tdfs. Default setting is -17.5degC, so it would always be enabled. Somewhere on these boards it was recommended to set it to like just under the max allowed in TC, like 254F.

Well crap. Try this...
ftp://24.102.198.75/V8AstroCaptainStuff/7747-mine.ecu

MikeT...the 7747 doesn't even have a MAT sensor.

I am using the $61 file. In the ECM constants table I have three constants relating to EGR. They are %TPS, speed, and MAP. I set the speed for EGR (on) to 255mph. This worked great for me.

Shouldn't there be a place in a 42 file for EGR disabling?
