Correct ECU/bin files for 87 GTA
I've downloaded the V2 GMECMEDIT program.
The ECU file should be using is the 6Ev009.ecu correct?
What bin file should I be looking for?
My burner should be here in abt a week, but I want to start exploring the s/w now.
Thx..

1987 TPI is $32b code not $6e. So no 6Ev009.ecu will not work.
You should be able to pick up the right ECU file at ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/incoming/

Oops, my bad. I knew that..
Where can I cross reference the ID from the sticker on the EPROM window? The ID on the EPROM that came with my parts car is "ADRA 3008". I would like to download that bin from somewhere. I didn't see it on the DIY-EFI page.
I was reading that the ARAP.bin file is what I want to start with.
Is the ARAP.bin just a modified $6E file?
That file needs the 6Ev009.ecu right?
Or is it the 6Ev010.ecu file?
(I've yet to figure out what the "009" and "010" mean)

ARAP has too much timing for my liking but that’s the bin I used when I had MAF. Just lower the spark advance tables or copy and paste the spark advance tables from your current bin. Do a search on the ARAP bin, there is tons of info on it. Also you need to change a switch in the PROM for the fans to use it. The beginning of the ECU file “6E” that’s the $6e code the “v009” and “v010” is the version number of the ECU file. Slowly people revise them and add more constants, tables, and make them more user friendly.
