Seems like there is always going to be the newbie questions on what's a blm etc. ( Hey, we all started there!)
Anyway-I usually suggest a book or two...one in particular that sure helped me out is "How to Tune and Modify Chevrolet Fuel Injection" by Ben Watson.
Just thought this may help out the new folks, thoughts?....

I got it a couple days ago. It's great if you dont have a solid understanding of the different circuits of the engine control system, it breaks alot down and is an easy read. It does not say much about speed density systems, and would be best characterized as concentrating on MAF systems. Definitely good for newbies and for troubleshooting. Not much in the actual modifications department.

There is no such thing as reading up too much on EFI.

But, with that said, you have to weed thru alot that is more opinion then fact.

Reading the archives, here, and at the DIY-EFI.org site are a great free way to learn alot. Granted the signal to noise ratio at times is lousy but there is nuggets hidden in there.

I'll second grumpy's notion on that. He is one resource here whos knows what he is talking about. When i started tuning i was already a Jaguar Technician and ASE certified and been working on cars probably close to 10 yrs. I have been doing this for a yr(tuning) and have accumulated multiple diff tuning proggrams and datlogging programs along with any decent GM EFI related books i come across(not too many out there). Strictly related to prom burning/tuning posts and boards i have a 3 inch binder crammed full of printed material a second with the complete 730 hac and a third(notebook) has all my notes from every chip ive made and what ive changed. All the material was found online with I'd say 75% coming from searches on this board alone and the rest from the diy-efi board.
