ECU test bench project
ECU test bench project
Just about have my very own test bench in a completed state. I guess it all depends on how fance I want to get. I have all the solenoid and relay outputs wired through various colored LEDs. I've got a TPS, MAF, CTS pots, switches for various inputs and a nifty motor for a IAC simulator. RPM will likely start from my signal generator and perhaps improve to a chopper wheel motor, where the motor speed can be correlated to MAF. Op-amp circuits with various RC delays are coming to mind to simulate engine load and other stuff.
I scored a bunch of PCB mounted screw terminals and attached them to some solder pad PCB. I think I basically wire them up as raw components and utilize the terminal block to add offsetting resistors and other stuff. Soon I hope to turn it on and see if I can get the MIL to flash codes at me.

Cool... good to see others using test benches..
Heres mine that I am offering to others that don't want to build from scratch.
more can be found here.
