prom eraser no longer available?
I tried to order the prom eraser in traxion's article from digi-key today but they no longer stock it. It is part number er2-nd made by the walling co. They have another one made by another company but it is $95!!!
Does does anyone know where else I should look for this eraser or another that is priced in the $30 range?? Thanks very much................bob

Bob,
You can get a cheap eraser from forchip for USD 40.00.
But a lot of the blokes on this board are using EEPROMS that you can get from Craig Moates (see sticky). This is probably the best way for you to go if you have a Pocket Programmer.

An EEprom is "Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory" The PP2 programmer will support many types of eeproms. There are also Flash Eproms that will allow you to erase and reprogram sectors of the chip versus UVEproms and EEproms only let you reprogram the whole chip.
only problem I can see is no 2732 eeprom available so I need an adapter and a differenct prom..
Might as well just get an eraser and If I end up really getting into this a romulator down the road.Man, the romulator seems to really be the ticket . thanks to everyone............bob
