best PROM

I am looking to replace my stock chip for an aftermarket PROM and was wondering what the best for the cost was. High Performance Pontiac suggested performanceresource.com, so has anybody used or heard anything about them? I'd like to add some extra horse and all. My car is a daily driver but I do drag when I can. I'd like to keep the price under $200 or so (so hopefully I can get it as a gift and not buy it myself ) Thanx for your help!

Read the forum description.

"NOT A REFERRAL SERVICE."

I'm sure other people's posts won't be as civil as mine.

I'm partial to the Atmel 29C256, only $4 or so.
