How do I get prom out of carrier?

Well, I got my tuner cat program running, my pocket programer running, spare chips, but I can't seem to get the prom out of the carrier. My prom is a 2732a

I damaged two old ones already like a dumb fu)k and I don't want to mess up the last good one I have which is the "custom" chip I had burned before I decided to try to learn this stuff.

I read a thread about this, some say you got to squeeze the sides and others said work from side to side. I tried working it out from the back and broke the plastic tabs on the back and was then able to push it out but bent and broke a couple of pins.
( remember I am an old carb guy so give me a break., MY thumbs and fingers are real big hehehehe) .
I don't see how you can get the prom out without bending pins and destroying the carrier. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

By the way, anyone have some spare carriers? I have had no luck yet here in denver on just buying a chip or carrier.

STill hanging in there. Thanks ................bob

Push them in and then get a screw driver for fixing glasses (the real itty bitty ones) and use that to pry the prongs enough on one so that side will pop out. Once you use a chip 3 or 4 or 12 times it'll eventually just pop out when you push the bottom apart.

Check ebay for spare proms. 50 2732's for $31 shipped usually, and then an eraser is like $60 if you suck at electronics like I do.
