Spark Retard ?

I noticed on my most recent DM log that I am getting spark retard, up to 5.9 degrees on occasion. It seems like it is in the lower RPM's mostly but every now and then up high. It seems like it is when I increase throttle only slightly. If I slightly increase throttle I get the most retard for a few frames but with a larger step the retard is either absent or very little. Would this be a tip in leanness or should I back the timing back a little. All my fueling tables and spark tables are still stock AYBN, only a few changes.

Do you get any hesitation under these conditions, or is the throttle response good?

Is your TPS loose?

With the blower you don't want or need to run much timing in cruise mode, and you want to ramp it out fairly quickly.
If you can cut an paste your timing and main VE table, might help.

Thanks, I will give it a shot this evening. I am only getting about 9 pounds of boost right now. I would like to get more if I could get the intake air temps down. About 175* after cruising around for a while.

What injectors are you running?.

If you don't mind what BPC are you running and how'd you come up with your F30 values?.

With my effect 60 PPH injectors I wound up with a BPC of 80 and it took alot of dithering to get my F30 numbers is why I ask.

Yikes, are you running EGR?.
What kind of K/Pa do you run at say 65 MPH, ie at just cruise?.

Maybe time to think of doing some fuel cooling.

I got a BPC of 106 figuring it like this.
BPC=730.75 * (vol/rate)
Vol=VOl of one cylinder in liters---------->.834
Rate=Injector flow in gms/sec----------->5.7708
gms/sec=(lbs/hr / 3600)*453.6--------->5.7708
lb/hr=45.8
I am running 42 lb. FMS injectors but I had the fuel pressure set to 47 lbs with the old injectors so I left it there. That is how I got the 45.8lb/hr flow rate.

I am not running EGR and it is blocked off. Light criuising I am at about 41-44 KPA.
Also Grumpy, my F30 values are stock setting for that bin. The only things I have changed in the bin at all are BPC and fan on temps.
