Flash chip not burning

Got a different problem now Thought it was the PPII or the program, but try a different chip and it worked fine. The problem is you try to burn the chip with a .bin or FF's and it goes to about 300 and says it is programmed(within 5 seconds) Is it a bad chip??

Thanks

Chris

Sounds like.

Try one last time programming it with FFs.

Then read it into the buffer, and then hit edit buffer, and scroll thur what's being displayed, and see if it's all FFs. If not them I'd say it's dead.

One shot at the wrong programming voltage will kill an EEPROM.
Installing it backwards while it MIGHT not kill it instantly, it might only go a few cycles before it fails.
