Breaking in the new motor
Hey everyone,
I have very little experience tuning a GM ECM, and I'm worried about breaking in my new engine. The specs are in my sig. My question is, if I use a stock 350 .bin, will it work well enough for the initial startup and 20 min cam break in (at about 2000RPM)? Otherwise, can someone suggest any changes to the stock .bin? I think I would not have to change the timing table or power enrichment at all, just the VE tables.
Thanks!
-Carl

About the only thing I'd change (if anything) is injector constant if you have injectors much larger than 22 lb/hr.
I broke in my new 350 using my old 870 ECM and 305 prom using accel 24lb injectors. It ran a little rich but not so much that it burned your eyes.
