romulator

If some one that is running a romulator can enlighten me on the specifics, or give a direction on where I can do some research. Do you get to tune in real time? :hail:

I've read through both sites and just want to confirm somthing. With the eprom emulator and the RT tuner there would be no need to invest in the pocket programmer itself right? The emulator is the burner itself in a way?

The Romulator is meant as a development tool.
When your done, you should do a prom.

Not in a way that can allow you to pull out the RT romulator and run without it.

And even if you decided you were going to leave it in after getting your tune right, you've got the possibility of losing the battery backup and not having any code to run the ECM.

One way around that would be to use the TC RT until you've got the tune sorted, then email your .BIN to someone to burn onto a memcal for you. You can see how this could be done with a memcal adaptor in Trax's PROMINTRO article.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. I just got a laptop so I can start doing some scans and thought if I could sidestep the burner and save a little $ I would.
