Differences between O2 sensors

I know that there are heated and non heated Oxygen sensors, but is there any other difference between different non-wideband oxygen sensors (other than connectors)? In other words, can I use an oxygen sensor from a 1981 car with my 1227747, or do I need to get the specific one for the vehcile my computer came from?

If you have your car pretty well dialed in, and can see if there are any real changes, then just go ahead and use whatever GM application sensor you want.

If your still working on the BLs thou, I'd suggest something at least close.

I mentioned this in a previous post, but I suspect my current sensor has been fouled by silicone. So, my BLs may be off. The car runs good though, so they are probably pretty close. I'm watching a couple of new sensors on ebay, I'll pick one up and see if it is different.
