pocket programmer problems

alright all, I'm having some issues here. I finally got my fan and all that junk working after doing all the different mods to my car. Now, I've got a problem with my pocket programmer 2.

I went to correct some items and first it said that it couldn't program the chip then it said that the chip couldn't program (this was with three different chips). Something is telling me that my OS (Win XP) is seriously clashing with the programmer.

I'm running version 1.44 of the programmer software along with win XP. I just downloaded the new version of the programmer (v.1.82), but I cant run it without a password.

Before I dump $65 bucks or whatever it is anyone have any other ideas of what it could be? or knowledge of where to get a password?

Control Alt delete and close out EVERYTHING running in the background.

EVERYTHING.

Norton, as well as a bunch of other programs run in the background, and fubar PPII.

Check to make sure you have the proper eprom type selected. I am running the version 1.82 and I am not having any problems with XP. Sometimes the chips are just bad, i have had 4 to 5 in a row that will not verify. I put them in the eraser for a little longer and sometimes they work. Sometimes I just rip the legs off and place them in the pile.

I am burning 2532s and 2732s with out any issues. Just the occasional bad eprom.

took care of it, I think it was either the fact that I had kazaa running in the background or that the chip wasn't properly erased, thanks guys!
