simple question

After burning another chip does the ECM have to relearn anything or can I immediately use the scan info to burn another?

The idea is you scan until your BLM's are stable. That's the learning process the ECM goes through.

If you're using Winaldl, you don't get the cells "filled in" in the BLM table until the "learning process" is complete for that cell. You'll know that you've reached that point when your INT's are 128's or close to it.

Till they're stable. Okay.
Is there a typical time frame? Most of my driving is 55mph for at least 10 mins at a time.

Disconnect power from the ecm for 30 secs., and then drive the car under varying conditions. Cruise mode only learns in cruise mode.

As Grumpy said, you need to vary your driving- ie, you've got to drive in a way that logs sufficient data in every block to get every block learn multiplier spot on.

From my experience, this might take a matter of less than a minute to get data in a couple of blocks, but some you seem to have a hard time driving to initiate running in those blocks. These you're more likely to guess in.

If you do most of your driving at 55 mph, the load and rpm at that speed is obviously where most of your data is going to be. You can't expect to get high load/ high rpm learning there.

Thanks guys. Currently even with the cruise control set at 55 on level ground my INT's jump around from 122 to 135. I would hardly consider that stable. I do however know that I'm still running rich across the board so I'll bump the constant up some and see what happens.
