Holy cow!! is that a 5 1/4" floppy?!?!? what do they expect you to run THAT on?

Sure looks like one, and that was my thought too.

The PCB on the bottom-left is an adaptor to put surface mount chips in the burner; that's pretty new.
The ZIF socket is fairly recent as well, so it seemed odd that the software would be on a 5.25", but they still make the burner.
I got the data sheets for it off their website.

Somebody I know will have a 5.25 drive laying around to reclaim the data, if it's still good.
Otherwise, I'll harass the manufacturer for the software.

Dallas Semiconductor has joined up with Maxim-IC, and Maxim has fabulous service, so I'm sure something will work out.

Just grabbed it off Ebay, I don't physically have it yet.
