100% VE efficiency

i understand my main fuel tables are related to VE volumetric efficiency. that is a air pump scenario being a %%% of efficiency due to restrictions in intake exhaust.
question #1 in areas of my fuel table i am seeing 91. does not mean engine is at 91% efficiency? example may be adding free flow exhaust and engine breaths better so the tables in VE need to be raised as engine more efficient? is their a correlation?
#2 why is it i never see 100 map in datalogging. elevation is 1000 feet. i think winaldl shows 95 map. never saw that either. only 90. is that a function of how long i hold at WOT or is it that one only sees at lower speeds mph and higher map?

To accurately determine VE means as Scot mentioned, means measuring VE. To do that you have to measure the actual air flow thru the engine. Data logging a MAF calibrated without fueling corrections is one way.

Ve will change with Baro. If the typical barometric pressure in your area is 93, then the max VE you'd ever see is 93. It takes a good combination of parts to really get an engine to breath really well.

I think Grumpy was trying to say Map KPA ,Not VE.
But any restriction in intake will cause you to show less than 95-100 KPA at WOT.
Probably at lower RPM in a high gear WOT condition you will see you max KPA, But as RPM climbs you will start pulling vacuum if TB/Intake tract is restristive.
A good way to tell is with key on,engine off push gas to floor and read KPA.
that is the max you should see, anything less than that will be from intake restriction.

fantastic. thanks for the tip. only restriction would be my 2.00inch TB's and K&N air cleaner. my manifold i believe is large enough.
