Byterunner instead of Romulator?

http://www.orglerelectronic.com/orgl...nic/ebyter.htm
This unit claims to do realtime on ecms AND does the larger 512 chips without the extra cost. Anybody have any experience with them or should I be the first? .
Looks to me like a similar product. The reason I would like it is for tuning the 0D mask. It's code is all on chip and the Romulator only does 256 unless you spend an extra $70.
The only reason I'm still leaning towards the Romulator is the software support. Then there is the fact that I'm sure I can write a program to talk to the ByteRunner but is it worth my time.

Not sure exactly how that one works, but it does have a reset wire on it, similar to the first version of emulator from transtronics. Since that wire is there, that leads me to beleive they do a reset once they download, which can cause a hiccup or freezing of the micro. I think the other emulators are 'sneaking' in the data to the proms during real time when the micro isn't accessing the prom. So I'm not sure it would work exactly like Craigs or Ken's or transtronics romulator. Could work as well, but it didn't have much information on that link to describe the operation. Did they say how much it costs?

It's about $170 shipped from the conversion I used online.
I did notice the reset wire which makes me not want to use it. Thanks for pointing that out.
