Surging idle
I was running a 165ECM with the 6E mask and had no problems with the idle. After switching over to an 730 with a 8D mask I have a surging problem at idle in or out of gear that I can't figure out and is driving me nuts. Attached is a link to the BIN and Datamaster logs. File 11 is a slight surge and file 7 is a severe surge in the beginning of the log and a slight one at the end of it. http://www.moates.net/files/uploads/305aujp004.bin http://www.moates.net/files/uploads/7.uni http://www.moates.net/files/uploads/11.uni

I followed the directions in the thread that gta324 posted and have had good results. The idle is much more stable now, and driveability has improved. I still need to figure out how to mess with the follow through portion, but I'm getting there
is there a chance we can make small stickies on articles like that? Of course it would need a disclaimer that states "Ensure your vehicle is in good mechanical condition before resorting to changing the settings in the chip" or something like that. What I thought was a sticking idle may be just an over active IAC due to the settings. I did clean the TB thoroughly and ensured that there was no vacum leaks. I also checked for proper operation of the TPS. This is the only thing that made a difference for me.
Just a thought
