i was reading mike davis's swap info for 165 to 730 ecms, and i don't quite understand the vss changes needed. Especially when i read that 86 uses a different sensor than my 88. My understanding is that i have to hook the vss wire at A10 on the 165 ecm to the BC6 pin on the 730 ecm. Then in the 730 bin do i check or uncheck the vss flag?

another question: Which way do i look at sensors to figure out which pins are a,b, and c?

 

From what I remember from my swap, the only change in the prom is unchecking the Magnetic VSS flag. I wouldn't look at the sensor to ID A, B, C, I associated the letters with wire color, it is all labled in Mike's ECM wiring pics. Good luck.
