I have an epromer5 that I purchased from the TGO classifieds. It seems to program 27c256's fine, but when I try to program a 29F040 thats brand new from craig moates it wont do it. I get a "device not supported" error even though it states it is supported, and the device is in the drop down menu, and the software fo it specifies it willl program this chip. So far no reply in two days form the Epromer peolpe via their website. It seems to read but shows all 0000000's. shouldnt this be ffff's on a new supposedly blank chip? I only have one so I just wondered if there is a way to rule out a bad chip. BTW, it wont erase either. Here is what I get as error codes;

11:12:46 AM> Device ID# 0000 - Not Valid!!!
