Why?
Just use the 6E, and unplug the 9th injector.

Hey TechSmurf, thats three two barrel tbi tb's and one three barrel. Just unhook the third injector on the three barrel tb.
I think Grumpy was thinking about a mass air tpi system.

This is for a 1227302... not a 165... to even begin using a different ECU, I need the table info from the 302 for base tuning..

Please don't go around assuming. It's a nasty habit that can lead to lots of false conclusions, especially in EFI.

I had the $3a tdf but destroyed it. It was a beta and I ended up not testing it. I'm going to try to make my little v6 sing. Wish I still had it. There is others that knows about the tdf. Don't think tunercat sells that tdf AND last time this subject came up seemed like nobody wanted to talk about it......good luck!

Sorry Grumpy, I know I'm not up to par in the ecu field like you and most others on this board, but I guess I assumed TechSurf was refuring to an older tbi system. And I also was just trying to get a laugh, I guess the laugh is all on me. I should have known you wouldn't have mad such a simple mistake like that. Just to help me understand, what application does the $3a apply to? Could it be the mpfi V6 app. ?

$3A == 1227302 '86 1/2-89 MAF 2.8 V6 MPFI

tunercat does have a TDF. ive tested it exstensively. You really wont need to port tables to $6e more like change the cylinder select to 192 i belive. As for the spark table i found the aypy ran good i think thats the bcc i used for a 1227165 swap. As for other stuff. was easy. just touching up the AE params and WOT fuel air was al i need to do aside from set the injector constant to the proper size.

I'm not going to a 165 though.. and I don't think the sy/ty chip will be quite as close. I've gotta get the data somehow.

Or ask funstick to dump the prom's settings in human readable format... Got my prom burner.. just need to find the interface card for it (proprietary) ... can have the bin dumped prolly in a week..

.. or I can continue my efforts to decompile the bin..
