Problems with FreeScan -- any Ideas?

Transmission: AT, 5-speed
Problems with FreeScan -- any Ideas?
Hey Folks -
I'm trying to get my laptop setup to do datalogging with the 749... I have Freescan downloaded but it doesn't seem to find any of it's own definition files? HELP?
I'm running XP-Home on a Dell Inspiron 1100 Laptop. (Should mention that stuff I suppose.)
I can't get DataMaster working either, it starts up and crashes. *scratches head*
