I have been looking around in them because I started my chip with an auto bin but I want to "fix it" so it is manual. I noticed that the AXCN and R have a lot of diffeneces in places that I wuldnt think would matter if the prom was manual or auto. Can someone explain why this would be? I forget off the top of my head which parts I mean specifically tho.
Also what should I do to make the auto prom into a manual one? If that is correct and it is cut and dry here.

Scooter, trying to change an auto bin to manual will cause massive fits of extreme depression (been there, done that). Start with the manual bin and copy all of your fuel, spark, etc.. tables to it. It will give you a good starting point. I have been researching this board for several months (this is my first actual post!) and have read where most members have stated not to try and convert an auto prom to a manual. I started with a 305 manual bin (axxd) and converted most of the tables over to 350 auto bin (aujp). I did not use the axcn bin (corvette manual) on my Z because the Camaro L98 uses iron heads and the vette has aluminum heads. The timing is very different from what i have seen. Hope this helps.

I have a manual bin from a corvette that I was planning to use for my starting point. What tables exactly should I copy from a bin not from a corvette? So which ones are really key so I have a good starting point? I dont want to copy something from the auto chip that is going to f up the manual part of my bin.

Scooter, the Vette' has aluminum heads and a higher compression ratio than the camaro 350. Both of those facts change the spark tables greatly. Let me know what engine and mods you have. If you look at the AXCN (corvette manual) versus the AXCR (corvette auto), you can get a basic understanding of the differences in the bin from the auto to manual. I did that and then made simillar changes from the AUJP (camaro 350 sd tpi auto) over to an AXXD (305 tpi manual). If your setup is basically stock, this will be a good starting point. It is just a matter of tuning, scanning, tuning, scanning, etc..... from there.

I have a couple of questions.I am putting a 350 L98 into a trans am that was originally equipped with a 5Ltr 5 speed,will the vette axcn chip work with out modification?
