Help $5d ecu file tunerpro

Hi all,

I am in Australia ,and have 2 ecms 16183082 and 1227808 .
I just downloaded some great looking software Tunerpro (Big thumbs up there) .

I also downloaded $5d ecu file of the ftp site, (but tunerpro does not like it ..) Invalid item data/syntax in item....item 138

So I checked the file out and compared it with the ecu from tunerpro .. some differences there , so I changed the $5d ecu file to match the syntax of the $6e .. still no luck!!! Any ideas??

I am only new to this so any help is appreciated!!.

I hope something can come out of this , when you look at what we have here (kalmaker at $1500+) Tunerpro look's like a good option to me!

Thanks
Paul

in the original 5D ecu file, count down to the 138th item... make sure the syntax is correct for the item (brackets, commas, no commas or ='s in any of the strings, etc).

it could be the item immediately before the 138th item causing the issue too.

if you need to, email it to me, but try yourself first (no better way to learn).

Thanks for that , could not see the forest from the tree's , (can't believe how many things you miss even after 3rd or 4th look)

Found some more bugs ... Now it loads ok but the tables and other info don't seem to look right? I'm no expert but the values around the place look way off!

Maybe bin ? or bad ecu file?? have to check this out

Thanks Mangus

The $5d ECU on the ftp site has a few errors which can be fixed like Mangus says. There is also a $12 ECU for the 16183082 that is a work of art (by Adrian)- it has a couple of errors as well.
