Cannot Connect ECM/BIN Dump in Moates 7730

I am getting a 'cannot connect to car' when doing an ECM/BIN Dump in Moates on a 730 ECM. I am using the default address of 8000 and FFFF and the latest version of the software. The program connects and functions perfectly otherwise. Any clues? Anyone have success? Cable is a homemade two transistor type. Thanks!

The data is streaming perfectly in all other modes. With Ed Wright chip and stock chip both, the connection times out in ECM dump mode. For an instant, a bunch of digits show up on the screen just before the timeout. Could I have a faulty ground on an ECM ground pin?

You are not alone with your problem I get exactly the same thing. The connection times out. I also get a few digits appear as it is transerfing data but then just loses connection.

Yeah I have tried all his versions without luck. I know his frist version did not work, then I tried the second version with any luck. Not sure what version he is on now but I have not tried it.
