WinALDL: Sorta working... Need help.

I just installed WinALDL on my computer and finished making the cable per instructions on the WinALDL site. I'm pretty sure I hooked up everything correctly. My engine is an 89 L98 350 and I have set the WinALDL configuration to 1227165 ECM type. I'm not using resistor 3 or 4. I'm getting 12v from the cigarette lighter.

On the Raw Data screen, I'm only seeing data come across down to the MPH and then no data after that. The Dash screen shows no movement. None of the other screens shows any data, such as Sensor data, BLM, INT or O2.

I'm running WinXP Home edition and have it hooked through the COM1 port (only one it has) and I have tried both 2400 and 4800 baud, but both produce the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need the 10k R3 resistor.

Just installed that, getting more data now and the Dash screen is working but the BLM, INT, O2 and Spark count tables are still not showing any data. I also don't like how the R3 puts it in high idle mode and disables the knock retard. Maybe this is not the best software for my car?

The BLM and Spark tables may be showing data in the other parts. Scroll through the selections at the bottom of each of the tables. You should see several choices like Narrow Latest, Narrow AVG, Wide Avg, etc. This applies only to the BLM and INT tables. I don't know for sure if it is applicable to the O2 table and I am certain that it isn't applicable for the Spark Counts table.
Scroll through them once the engine is in closed loop and see if there are any entries in them.
