Unplugging O2 sensor

Unplugging O2 sensor

If I burn a chip to keep me in open loop and I unplug the stock O2 sensor to replace it with my wide band, will it throw a code? Id just go check myself, but the car is in storage till Fri

Thanks for any help!

I'm not a TBI guy, but I'd think that when you burn the open loop chip, just disable the O2 sensor diagnostic flags (DTCs 13, 44, & 45, IIRC) and you should be good to go.

(works for other ECMs)

You want to set the Closed Loop, Coolant temp enable to the max., and then disable the flags for codes 13, 44, 45.

I think there was some mention in other threads about the some items being related to closed loop.
