Weird WinALDL output ($61)

I noticed that the Bat Volts output of WinALDL is reading almost a full volt different that actual voltage measured at the battery terminals with a DVM.
Any ideas?

A 1 volt drop in the wiring between the battery terminals and the input to the ECM.

Where does the ECM sense voltage? That is where I need to tie my alternator sense lead to.
