305 TPI onto 327 NEED HELP WITH 1st BIN
I'm swapping an '89 Firebird 305 TPI system into my 1968 Camaro with the original 327 block.
I am requesting help in finding a good bin file in which to get my engine running.
Here's some info on the set up
Engine: 327 bored .030" over, estimating around 9.5:1 compression ratio, cam specs- Advertised duration: 282 intake/282 exhaust, Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 224 intake/224 exhaust.
Drivetrain: M20 & 4.11 Posi.
TPI System: 1989 TPI from 305, 1227165 ECM, 19 lb injectors, & Vortech T-Rex fuel pump. Using 6E bin files.
The problem: I have not been able to get her running. I am getting a code 12 when I jump A&B terminals on ALDL connector. (Yes VATS is removed).
Background: So far I've found that she prefers 350 bins more than she likes 305 bins... It sounds like she wants to start, but it just won't come to life. There is spark, the timing is correct, and there is fuel, but just no run.
Questions: Is this cam too extreme? are the 19lb injectors too small? Anyone have any suggestion? Comments? Rants? Any help would be appreciated.
At this point I've double checked my install many times, I'm confident finding the right bin will get my baby back to life again... If I can't get it running soon I'm gonna throw in the towel and go back to carburation :-(

I'm sure you will get the help your looking for. As for your using a 305 or 350 bin it should start the engine with either one. Did you disconnect the wire from the dist to the ecm before you timed it? If not then the timming is way retarded. If yes then with the proper fuel it should at lest try to start. Did you set the iac before trying to start the engine. This is another area that if not properly set could cause a flooding problem. As with any engine if you have fuel, air and a correctly timed hot spark it should run, might not run good but it should run.

Can you 'noid' light the injectors to see if they are firing?
If they are then the base timing is probably to far retarded for her to crank up.
Double check all your wiring to the ECM...but you;ve probably already done that a bunch of times.

Yes, the wire is disconnected.

Yes, the noid light flashes rapidly when I'm trying to start the engine.

I'd richen it up, engines will run while rich but not lean. There are crank PW terms for this.
Make sure the engine displacement term and injector term are also set correctly.
RBob.
