switched from a 6E tune to a 32b because of its ability to specify injector pulse widths. now i'm throwing a code 24 every now and again. does an 88 tune use the vss signal? put a new vss in cuz it had over 100,000 miles on it anyway but its still coming up. anyway to disable it in the tune? the computer is an 89 unit. using an 88 vette bin. comments? suggestions?

Wouldn't advise disabling the VSS in the ECM (nor just the VSS fault code) You need the VSS for T/C lock up.
I have run my car on both the 32b & 6E codes (along with the original 870 chip/ECM) with the same VSS in place and never had it throw a code.
I would go back to the 6E code (temp) and see if the problem is there now too. If it isn't have a look at both .bin's in any area dealing with VSS input. If the 88 bin is different than the 6E, change it to the 6E's settings and see if that cures the problem. It may just be that the 88 code is intolerant of a variation in the VSS signal your car is producing and needs the parameters changed a little.
