burning my own chips
I would like to begin buying the proper tools to burn chips and was wondering if some of these items will do and what else will I need? I have an 85Z28 with speed density system. I am looking to purchase the following:
The moates adapter with 2 flash chips, the pocket programmer and software, and the code to unlock tunercat. I would have to download there demo.
A member here is selling this stuff for 250.Will I need to get either a datalogging program or scanner to monitor the changes I make? Which scanner do i need? I had a custom chip burned for me and I dont think its quite right. I also have heard that burning for speed density can be difficult. Thanks for your help.

First, read everything at the top of this section that says "important/usefull" it answers your questions.
Second, your 85 isnt speed density unless it has a different computer(ECM). It should be a MAF car. You will need to know this as the ECU for an 85 is different than one for any speed density ECM.
