I think some people might be like me. I've read till I'm blue in the face and still don't fully know what I need?

The car is a '91 RS with a 305(LO3)TBI motor and a TH700R4 tranny. The ECM is a #8746.

I've got a Toshiba laptop with 333mh AMD & 96 memeory. It has a serial port and parallel port(Promulator is the plan, I think). I've got a ALDL, OBD II(I also have a '97 Z28 converted over to OBD I) combo cable from AKM Cables. Also I have and can run WinALDL.

I know that I still need a programer(such as the pocket programer) and a prom eracer. I want to skip these two items and get a Promulator.

So what else do I need? One thing is a bin file, but where do I get it? Another would be a program to edit the bin file, but where do I get it?

Someone please help with this as I'm tired of running high 16's at 89mph with the amount of mods and money that I've put in this car.
Thanks, Bobby

If you are using modern flash chips (29C256), you don't need an eraser.

http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/ That Will lead to some software fromm Mangus(Mark Mansur) For Bin Editing and ALDL Logging. Download it install it then run it and go to the help tap on the title bar and read it, it will help a little more
