Another TCC Question but different...

Over a couple years ago, long before I got into DIY PROM tuning, when I had my 4L60 rebuilt I had the mod done to where in 4th gear @ WOT it would stay in 4th and not kick down to 3rd. It was done right by a professional with lots of expierence with these trans and using the GM kit.

My question is when it comes to touching the variables for the TCC in the bin what should I NOT do so that I avoid damage to my tranny. I have a 12" 2400RPM ACT converter in it now. I don't plan on changing any of the TCC variables except maybe a little but I want to know what to avoid considering I have an additional mechanical mod that comes into play.

Also is there maybe something I should do in my bin to help protect my tranny considering I have this mod...

unlock the converter doing higher load situations(ie other than cruise)

Use the TCC lock/unlock tables , will be amazed at the difference!

Also under constants there is a Minimum TCC lockup mph(dont think i got the name exactly right almost 4am)

After this number the converter will, repeat will stay locked, not a problem in everyday driving(unless your going max out:-)), but can pay dividends at the track and when you know your going to be romping on it. I set mine to 115mph when using the GTA, stock car and code at the track.

Stock lock/unlock tables leave a lot to be desired even in pure stock apps i think
