Anyone have any good souces for some blank chips for my 8746 ecm which I can use down the road for burning different set-ups on?

I want to pick-up some extra blank proms for when I get into altering/burning.

Thanks,
dave

The 2732a's seem to be kind of hit or miss whether or not they will work. I would go over to www.moates.net and get the adapter he sells so you can plug in big EEPROMS, that would be much easier.

BronYrAur...why are they sort of hit and miss sometimes??? I took a look at what I think is the adapter you are talking about......seems liek a bit of work soldering etc....I was hoping that I wouldnt have to do anything to the actual ECM, soldering in that eeprom adapter....but I really dont know if it is really worth it since I have never done it before....:-)

Those eproms ahve been out of production for years so all the stuff you get is used pulls. That adapter is worth it. Much easier then having to do the whole uv erase thing and the newer eeprom/flash is less likely to fail.
