749 Charcoal & Converter questions

749 Charcoal & Converter questions
I have just converted to the 749 ECM and know the charcoal canister purge & cat converter solenoids no longer function. I have 2 questions about this.
1) Can I bypass the Charcoal solenoid & vent the canister right to the trottle body? It will open the valve when vacuum is applied (car started), all the time?
2) Can I energize the converted solenoid to divert air to the converted all the time when the car is running? Will this affect cold startups? Ill connect the solenoid to a 'Run' circuit. Will air to the CAT cause a problem?
Any thoughts?
