Zeitronix: Anyone using NB output?
Anyone with a Zeitronix WBO2 using the simulated NB output feature to feed the ecm? If so, how is it working?
I have coated headers, so I'd like to avoid messing up the coating by welding on another bung, so the Zeitronix seems to be a good solution: use the WB output for chip tuning, use the simulate NB output to feed ecm, all with one O2 sensor.

It isn't really all that easy... you COULD get it to work but that would require a lot of tweaking of the closed loop corretion tables. The PID tables are based on engine air flow. The reason they do this is so as not to over/under correct the fuel delivery into a nasty rich/lean/rich/lean. Unless the simulated narrow band is taking into consideration the volume of exhaust passing by the wideband it won't work well at all.
If somebody would lend me a unit I could probably figure out the closed loop to work well enough but it's kind of pointless considering the cost of a narrow band.
Can I ask why you want to keep closed loop if you have a wideband? Why not just keep it in open loop? Or do you still have a cat... (doc, please don't make fun of me again) I see in your sig that you have one so yeah, keep closed loop but do NOT use the simulated signal. It won't work well unless you've got time to tweak the code. My vote is what you're probably already considering... extra o2 bung in the y-pipe for the wideband.

I made a few posts about this in the past and I'll be buying one this week to try it out doing this exact thing. I'll post the results.

I've been using the simulated NB output because my one year old bosch has decide to crap out on me
The car doesn't seem to run any worse (or better than it did before) off it. Still don't think its the cause of my running problems. There's no way I should have to dump in this much fuel at WOT, regardless of how far off the NB is off.

JPrevost, yes I have a cat. I live in a county just barely out of where emissions tests are required. I'm reluctant to tear off all the emissions equipment because I could easily get pulled into the required test zone and be scrambling to pass the sniffer. The temptation is growing to rip it all off, which I may do when I swap the cam. With the cat gone, what would be the downside of running in open loop 100%? Worst case, like you said, I will TIG anothe bung onto my Y pipe. Was just hoping not to mess up the ceramic coating.
92GTA, please post your results with the zeitronix simulated NB. I may email them to learn more about the NB feature. Sounds like Roostmeyer has been using the simulated NB without a problem.

I used the NB function of mine without any issue at all. Only initial problem was a bad ground, once fixed the NB function worked just peachy, scans were pretty much identical pre and post WB

I emailed zeitronix about the simulated NB function. They said it's as simple as unplugging your stock NB sensor and wiring in the simulated NB output from the zeitronix control module. That's of course after you've installed the WB in wired it properly.
Based on the feedback on this thread from guys that have actually tried it, sounds like it works great.
