IAC Learn???

IAC Learn Max. Temp. I understand why this would be set so high as to never be achieved.

IAC Learn Timer The amount of time until IAC learn kicks in right?

IAC Learn Min. Temp. Now, my real question. Stock this is set to kick in once the engine is almost to normal operating temp. But why? It seems to me that you would want this kicking in right from cold start that way if there are any inconsistancies in the IAC steps Vs. Temp or IAC warm park position Vs. temp, the learn can kick in and correct this to obtain the correct requested idle speed Vs. temp? Am I correct or am I again reading into something wrong? So then also wouldn't you want the IAC learn timer to be set to the shortest amount of time so it kicks in faster?

Thanks!

IAC learn is used for the next key on, engine start. The IAC idle position is learned in and saved in NV RAM. The qualifiers are setup for normal operating temperature and after the engine idle has stabilized (the timer).

The actual idle is being controlled throughout the warm up period. This is done via other means.
