What does this column mean ECM582?

What does this column mean ECM582?
Power calculated at engine (HP) and if it really rates horsepower. I am curious if this is a true measure. Thanks, BranZ

Yes, it is meant to measure horsepower. The calculation is done via the data presented from the ALDL stream, which is relatively low in resolution. This makes an accurate calculation difficult. Additionally, there are a lot of other factors that are ignored (specific drive train losses, tire sizes, etc).
Consequently, it is a ballpark figure and should be considered for entertainment purposes.
