Cold start/Open loop Question...

In reference to the $8D/730, when you start your car cold, does it use the VE table for fueling in open loop? I know there is a crank fueling parameter but that's only for starting right? Basically what I'm asking is if my VE tables are dead on 128 blm's, I don't have to worry about being rich on cold start in open loop right? The only thing to worry about would be too much or too little fuel for cranking right?

On a side note, wideband o2's are heated sensors right? How many seconds until it's at opertaing temp with a reliable output? For example, if it's 20 degrees F outside and I start the car, how long until I can trust the AFR it's reading? Also when warm, how many second would you guess until it's hot enough to be reliable again? Specifically I'm wondering about the Zeitronix Zt-2 unit...

Thanks!

Alex

There are a few tables that affect the (choke) cold start enrichment and open loop fueling. As far as the wideband o2 my Innovate is operational in about 10-15 seconds on a cold (40F) morning. Below are 3 open loop tables that come to mind. Should look at the hac (available on http://moates.net/fileman ) to see what else you may want to adjust.

Ok let me see if I understand this.

The way I read it though these choke tables only add fuel to richen the mix a certain percentage richer than 14.7 because when I first start I see the target AFR start rich and then go towards 14.7 as it warms up.

But still it's all based off the VE table values as to how much more to add though right?
