Help finding scanner for 165 running 808 ($5D) code
I bought Moates ALDU1 USB converter and CABL1 to read with Winaldl a 165 ECM running 808 $5D code. ALDU1 says it works with Winaldl and Winaldl reads the 808. Well, the thing is it is not working.
There are no port errors or anything. I tried with and without resistor. No data is read. Nothing happens. Has anyone here has been succesful in doing it? If so, could you share the detail settings for all ports baud numbers, bits etc?
If not, could anyone please tell me which setup/equipment can I use to scan that combo? I really need it to be able to tune my setup or otherwise my engine will be useless
. I'm really frustrated with this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the driver for the ALDU1 is installed (see Moates's site for more info), and make sure WinALDL is set to 4800 baud instead of 2400 baud.

No, no need to change that. In Windows, the software controlling the port configures the port the way it needs to, overriding the settings in the device manager.
